June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day

Canada’s National Indigenous Peoples Day provides an opportunity to recognize the many achievements of the country’s Indigenous peoples.

June 21st provides us with an important opportunity to educate ourselves on the lives, cultures, stories and traditions of Nova Scotia’s  Mi’kma’ki, people as well as that of the Indigenous, Inuit and Metis communities throughout Canada.
