Government Notified College of Privacy Breach

The College has just been advised by the provincial government that information related to College registrants routinely requested by government and provided by the College has been stolen.  The government holds this information on the system MOVIEIT. Earlier this week the governmentannounced a cybersecurity breach involving data housed on the system MOVEIT.

The College does not know the extent of the breach, or the registrants involved. The government has informed the College that no personal health information was stolen. Government has undertaken to keep the College apprised when more specifics are known. 

The College does not use or keep information on MOVEIT. All information maintained by the College directly remains secure within its own database system and within its own security protocols.
