April Orientation Session for Physicians Trained Outside
of Canada

The Welcome Collaborative program which aims to address gaps identified in the onboarding of physicians not trained within the Canadian healthcare system context.

The next orientation session for physicians trained outside of Canada is scheduled for April 11th-13th at the College.

The orientation is part of the Welcome Collaborative, a program which aims to address gaps identified in the onboarding of physicians not trained within the Canadian healthcare system context.

The goal of the Welcome Collaborative is to support physicians as they integrate into medical practice in Nova Scotia. In addition to the College, participating partners include:

  • Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia (ISANS);
  • Doctors Nova Scotia;
  • Nova Scotia Prescription Monitoring Program;
  • Nova Scotia Health;
  • College of Family Physicians of Canada;
  • Dalhousie Medicine Continuing Professional Development and Medical Education (CPDME); and
  • Office of Healthcare Professionals Recruitment.
