Dr. Elias Fares

Dr. Elias (Leo) Fares is a PGY-3 resident doctor in Anesthesiology at the Dalhousie University. He completed his Medical Doctorate (MD), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmacology, and Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Microbiology at Dalhousie University.

Dr. Fares has held several leadership positions at the local and national level. He currently serves as Vice-President at Maritime Resident Doctors, a Board Director representing the Maritimes at Resident Doctors of Canada, and is Co-Chair of the Resident Doctors of Canada Training Committee. He has represented Resident Doctors of Canada on committees of national stakeholder organizations including the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.

In his spare time, he enjoys exercise, golf, fly-fishing and travel.
