The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia is committed to communicating with you in a respectful, professional and civil manner.

Demeaning or harassing comments; racist, discriminatory or obscene language; sexual harassment; or intimidation, shouting or threats toward CPSNS team members can result in CPSNS communicating with you only in writing or even limiting any future communication. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and respectful workplace.


College Office Hours

The only in-person service available at the College is the provision of a signature & seal. If you require this service, please call ahead to make an appointment to ensure availability of staff.

The College provides all other services virtually or by phone.

Please place all deliveries through the reception window on to the front desk.

When Visiting Our Office

Our office is open but some staff continue to work remotely. We recommend visitors to the College make an appointment if they wish to meet with staff in person.


For the Public

The College’s Public Support Advisor responds to inquiries from the public. The Public Support Advisor, who is a trained social worker, is available to discuss concerns about the care provided by licensed physicians in Nova Scotia. 

Please note: The College is unable to assist with access to care, including access to test results or medical referrals. If you are seeking information regarding wait times for referrals or various hospital procedures:
