Translation of Documents

PREAMBLE

All documents for registration or licensure in Nova Scotia must be presented in English.

PURPOSE

This policy describes the process and provisions for translation of all documents required for registration or licensure in Nova Scotia.

SCOPE

This policy applies to candidates applying for licensure in Nova Scotia whose application documents are not written in English.

POLICY

1. Requirements:

All application documents that are not written in English must be accompanied by an official translation.

The College will only accept translated documents verified by physiciansapply.ca1.

Applications for registration/licensure will not be processed until all requisite documents have been officially translated and submitted to the College.

2. Exemptions:

Application documents issued by Canadian sources may be exempt from this requirement at the discretion of the Registrar.
