Certificate of Professional Conduct

Doctors with a Nova Scotia licence may request a Certificate of Professional Conduct

Apply for a Certificate of Professional Conduct

You may request a Certificate of Professional Conduct (CPC) if you currently hold, or have previously held, a licence to practise medicine in Nova Scotia. This certificate confirms that the College issued you such a licence and indicates your standing with us.

How to apply:

We send the original CPC to the regulatory authority or health-care institution indicated on your consent form. This usually occurs within 5 to 14 days from the date we receive your request, but it may take longer in some cases.

We are here to help.
Call: 902-422-5823 or toll free: 1-877-282-7767

Practise outside of Nova Scotia

When you renew your licence, you must inform us if you have practised outside Nova Scotia since your last renewal. You must also provide a CPC from every jurisdiction in which you have practised.

For more information, see Certificates of Professional Conduct – Requirements for Licensure in Nova Scotia.

The College acknowledges that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. This territory is covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship. We also acknowledge that people of African descent have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years, and we honour and offer gratitude to those ancestors.
