Welcome Collaborative 2024 Highlights
In December, 19 physicians participated in a 3-day welcome orientation at the College.
This year 73 physicians trained outside of Canada participated in the College’s Welcome Collaborative orientation program. The program aims to support physicians to successfully integrate into practice in Nova Scotia.
In 2024, 51% of the participants were family medicine physicians with the remainder from other specialties including: internal medicine, anesthesiology, psychiatry and obstetrics & gynecology.
Over the past two years 133 physicians have completed the program. The 3-day program is now accredited by Dalhousie University Continuing Professional Development and Medical Education and as such eligible for CPD credits.
The program is funded by the government of Nova Scotia.
