Notice of hearing regarding Dr. George Richardson – amended

The hearing regarding Dr. Richardson will not proceed as previously scheduled on May 9, 2022.

Pursuant to the Medical Act, S.N.S. 2011, c. 38 the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia will conduct a hearing to consider allegations of professional misconduct regarding Dr. George Richardson.

The hearing will be held at the offices of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia Suite 400, 175 Western Parkway, Bedford, Nova Scotia, B4B 0V1 commencing on May 9, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. and continuing thereafter as directed by the Hearing Committee.

The Hearing Committee has ordered a publication ban on the complainant’s name and any information that may identify them.

The College acknowledges that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. This territory is covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship. We also acknowledge that people of African descent have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years, and we honour and offer gratitude to those ancestors.
