College announces notice of reprimand regarding Dr. Carlo Carandang

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia hereby gives notice that an interim suspension of Dr. Carlo Glorioso Carandang’s licence to practise medicine is lifted effective October 4, 2012. Dr. Carandang has been issued a consensual reprimand and conditions have been placed on his practice pursuant to Section 53(12) of the Nova Scotia Medical Act.

The College acknowledges that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. This territory is covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship. We also acknowledge that people of African descent have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years, and we honour and offer gratitude to those ancestors.
