June is Pride Month

The College recognizes Pride Month and celebrates the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Physicians in Nova Scotia play an important role in addressing the healthcare needs of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community with dignity and respect.

The College recognizes the important contribution of NSH’s prideHealth which works to improve access to safe, coordinated and comprehensive care for people who are part of the 2SLGBTQIA+.

The College acknowledges that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. This territory is covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship. We also acknowledge that people of African descent have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years, and we honour and offer gratitude to those ancestors.
