Each year, registrants must renew their licence to practise in Nova Scotia. Licence renewal closed on November 30 with the vast majority of registrants renewing on time. For the very small number of registrants that renewed after the deadline, a late fee was applied.

Any licence not renewed before January 1 expires as directed by the Medical Act. The College works closely with the health authorities to ensure that licences are renewed for those registrants intending to practise and to reduce any interruptions in the delivery of care.
