Welcome Collaborative

New Welcome Collaborative website launched

The Welcome Collaborative is designed to support physicians who have trained outside of Canada, have been issued a licence, and are new to practising in Nova Scotia. It is an orientation program aimed to help physicians to successfully integrate into the healthcare system.

The Welcome Collaborative program is the first program of its kind in Canada. More information is available on the newly launched Welcome Collaborative website.

The provincial government has invested $1.3 million to develop this orientation program offering doctors coming to Nova Scotia support, mentorship, and a sense of community.

The College acknowledges that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. This territory is covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship. We also acknowledge that people of African descent have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years, and we honour and offer gratitude to those ancestors.
