College suspends license of Dr. Ishtiaq Muhammad

Pursuant to a settlement agreement, the license to practice medicine of Dr. Ishtiaq Muhammad, a medical practitioner practicing as a hospitalist in the Capital District Health Authority, will be suspended for one month beginning July 1, 2007. A copy of the agreement is available HERE.

College releases disciplinary decision regarding Dr. Ian DePass

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia hereby gives notice that Dr. Ian Egbert DePass, a general surgeon formerly of Liverpool, Nova Scotia, has acknowledged a disciplinary matter violation as part of a settlement agreement with the College. College suspends license of Dr. David Sheehy

Dr. David Sheehy, a family medicine specialist in Shubenacadie, served a one-month period of suspension of his license to practice medicine in August 2006 and is authorized to continue in practice subject to the following restriction: Dr. Sheehy shall not engage in elective psychotherapy or counselling of patients as described in the Settlement Agreement approved by the Hearing Committee of the College on Jan 3, 2007. This restriction shall remain in effect until July 1, 2008. The Settlement agreement is available for review HERE.
