Pursuant to a settlement agreement, the license to practice medicine of Dr. Ishtiaq Muhammad, a medical practitioner practicing as a hospitalist in the Capital District Health Authority, will be suspended for one month beginning July 1, 2007. A copy of the agreement is available HERE.
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia hereby gives notice that Dr. Ian Egbert DePass, a general surgeon formerly of Liverpool, Nova Scotia, has acknowledged a disciplinary matter violation as part of a settlement agreement with the College. Dr. David Sheehy, a family medicine specialist in Shubenacadie, served a one-month period of suspension of his license to practice medicine in August 2006 and is authorized to continue in practice subject to the following restriction: Dr. Sheehy shall not engage in elective psychotherapy or counselling of patients as described in the Settlement Agreement approved by the Hearing Committee of the College on Jan 3, 2007.
