The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia has announced that pursuant to a Hearing Committee Decision incorporating a Settlement Agreement, Dr. Leo Wisniowski, a family practitioner in Chester Basin, Nova Scotia, has been suspended from the practice of medicine for a period continuing to and including August 25, 2006. Dr. Wisniowski has agreed to a statement of facts outlined in the Settlement Agreement and admits that he is guilty of professional misconduct. The charges against Dr. Wisniowski relate to sexual boundary violations with a patient to whom he was providing marital counselling.
