The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia hereby gives notice that by the decision dated December 6, 2016 the Investigation Committee approved an agreement between the College and Dr. Aliasghar Norouzian. Dr. Norouzian has admitted to misrepresentation of information when applying for a medical licence and that such a breach constitutes professional misconduct within the meaning of theMedical Act. Dr. Norouzian has consented to the revocation of his licence to practise medicine in Nova Scotia. Dr. Norouzian may only apply for a licence in the future if he satisfies the Registration Committee that he meets all requirements for licensure, including that of having the capacity, competence and character to safely and ethically practice medicine.
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia hereby gives notice that by the decision rendered February 2, 2016 and an Addendum Decision rendered June 3, 2016, the Investigation Committee approved an agreement between the College and Dr. Mohsen Yavari. The agreement states that Dr. Yavari’s licence to practise medicine was revoked effective February 16, 2016. The agreement also permits Dr. Yavari to apply for the reinstatement of his Defined Licence after the expiration of a minimum period of 4 months, if all criteria for the issuing of a Defined Licence are met. The agreement states that Dr. Baghaee’s licence to practise medicine was revoked effective March 3, 2015. The agreement also permits Dr. Baghaee to apply for the reinstatement of his Defined Licence, with additional conditions, after the expiration of a minimum period of 3 months, if all criteria for the issuing of a Defined Licence are met. Richardson of Halifax admits to the allegations contained in a settlement agreement with the College and agrees that they constitute professional misconduct.
