Language interpretation services
Physicians are expected to make reasonable efforts to ensure patients receive care in their preferred language
Why interpretation services matter
Patients have the right to receive care in a language they understand. Using trained interpreters improves safety, privacy, and quality of care. Avoid using family or friends as interpreters — they may lack medical vocabulary and could breach confidentiality.
