Nominations to Council

The mission of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia is to serve the public by effectively regulating the medical profession. Physicians and public members elected and appointed to the council are expected to commit their time and energy to fulfill the mission and mandate of the College.

Call for Nominations

The election of councillors for the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Nova Scotia in 2020 is required in the following electoral districts:

District 2 – Counties of Pictou, Cumberland, and Colchester
The election of one councillor to the Council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia in 2020 is required in electoral District 2 – the counties of Pictou, Cumberland, and Colchester. If you are a licensed physician and interested in running for the Council of the College, please review the information on the election process and the nomination form.

 

District 5- County of Halifax
The election of two councillors to the Council of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Nova Scotia in 2020 is required in electoral District 5 – the county of Halifax. If you are a licensed physician and interested in running for the Council of the College, please review the information on the election process and the nomination form.

 

Please submit your nomination form and biography to the Office of the Registrar no later than 4 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2020.
