Council Elections
The mission of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia is to serve the public by effectively regulating the medical profession. Physicians elected and appointed to the governing Council are expected to support and advance the mission and mandate of the College.
Nominations Now Open – Election to Council in Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4
An election will be held in March 2025 to elect one physician from each district listed above to serve on the College’s governing Council.
If you are interested in running for the College’s governing Council or know someone who is interested, please review the nomination package below. It contains information about serving on Council and instruction for submitting a nomination.
Nominations must be received by the College by 4 p.m. on Friday February 21, 2025.
District 1: Counties of Antigonish, Guysborough, Inverness, Richmond, Victoria, and Cape Breton
District 2: Counties of Pictou, Cumberland, and Colchester
District 3: Counties of Yarmouth, Shelburne, Queens, and Lunenburg
District 4: Counties of Hants, Kings, Annapolis, and Digby
